Therefore, it is important for you to get a permanent residence in case you want to live for more than 10 years there. What is a Canadian Permanent Resident Card?

It is not similar to permanent citizenship; however, you can apply for permanent citizenship after getting the Canadian permanent resident card. It helps the person who enjoys social security benefits along with state health care. It also gives the right to the person to live, study, and work anywhere in the country.
Any person who has got a Canadian Permanent Resident card is protected by all Canadian laws and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In return, a person is mandated to pay all the relevant taxes and must adhere to all the laws and regulations of the company. A score out of 100 will be applied to you based on your education, language skills, age, work experience, adaptability, and employment. Your score must be at least 67 in order to qualify. Any criminal record will also be taken into account as the current Candian employment situation.
Business Class
Any person who is self-employed, an entrepreneur, or an investor can apply for the residency under a Business-class name. A self-employed person must prove that their business can benefit a Canadian citizen. Whereas, an entrepreneur and investor must meet the minimum net-worth criteria.
Provincial Nomination

How to Apply for Permanent Resident Card?
Below are the simple steps which you need to follow in order to apply for a permanent resident card.
- You must contact the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate then fill in the relevant form there.
- They will ask you to provide the medical and criminal record for the clearance then you will have to pay the required fee.
- After that, you will be asked to appear at the interview. They may ask you to bring the relevant documents including qualifications certificates, evidence of funds, results of language tests, and perhaps a skills assessment test.

Can you Loose your Permanent Resident Status?
A card can live outside Canada; however, they must at least two years out of every five residing in the country, or else they could lose their permanent status. Moreover, you may also lose the status if you are convicted of some major crime then you will be expelled out of the country.
